Burt Brodie’s Curtisville Market

Burt Brodie’s built the Curtisville Market on the south east corner of Bamfield and Brodie Roads. Several additions have been made to the original building and ownership of the market has changes several times. It is currently operated as the Curtisville Trading Post.
George Brodie’s Boat Livery

George Brodie owned a boat livery on Alcona Pond. A fishing boat with ores could be rented for a dollar a day.
Peter Mac Coleman’s Pure Gas Station

Peter Mac Coleman operated a one pump Pure gas station on the located on the northeast corner of Bamfield and Curtisville Roads. It was favorite place for area children because penny candy counter.
Hattie (La Fleur) Bell’s Little Store

Hattie Bell operated a small general store located across the street to the west of Pete Mac Coleman’s gas station. Harriet Edwards and her dog Tarzan in front of store.
